In order to see my evolution as an individual, let's compare my Review of 2004 to my review of 2005. Review of 2004 was written on Jan. 16 2005 and posted in "In My Place", my first blog.

1. What did you do this year that you've never done before?
Went in a bar. A *gay* bar! *proud* . I enjoyed drinking alcohol. I tried to kill myself. I truly hated my mom and a whole lot of things that I can't think of.
I tried some drugs, went to a drag-queen show, skipped school *a lot*, I graduated, began college- and in a second language, no less- I gained self-confidence, got a promotion at work.
2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I don't make resolutions, nor do I break them.
I still don't make resolution although I should.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
No.
No but lots got pregnant.
4. Did anyone close to you die?
No.
A great-aunt that I've seen only twice in my whole life, other than that, no, thankfully.
5. What countries did you visit?
None
The U.S., again.
6. What would you like to have in the next year that you lacked in the previous?
Self-esteem.

7. What dates from 2004 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
March 5. When my mom left with Gary (aka the French Jerk) for the first time. And many other events that were really important but that I can't remember the exact date.
Oct. 10, when I reconciled with my mother and met her lovely French lover. June 1st, when my sister moved out =(, August and September, when Jo lived with us.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Writing some suff that I'm actually proud of. Or... I dunno, I don't really feel self loving right now so it's not the best of times to ask such a thing.
Gaining self-esteem, letting go of most of my inferiority complex.
9. What was your biggest failure?
I don't know. I don't have any expectation to begin with so* shrugs*
Not getting to go to U2 or Coldplay, losing motivation in the middle of my first semester at St-Lawrence, not handling well my busy schedule at all.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
I had my body refusing to move under threat of an intolerable pain in my neck and back for a few days.
I had lots of trouble with my ankles, worrying nosebleeds, dizziness spells.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
Every single issue of Newtype magasine 2004. All the mangas I bought. All the DVDs I bought. All the CDs I bought. My GLAM magasine. A lot of things...
I'd have to go for the CDs, the DVDs and the mangas.
12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
My dad's.
I'm sure loads of people did great things for me but nobody particularly stands out.
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
My mom, The American people for re-electing Bush, Michael Malloni, J.
My dad, people at my job, Jessy.
14. Where did most of your money go?
DVD's, Mangas, books, CDs.
DVDs, Mangas, CDs, School.
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Finally getting to watch QaF.
Finding real life friends who enjoy the same things as me, writing my first piece of smutt, System of a down in september. Lots of shounen ai/yaoi manga realeases.
16. What song will always remind you of 2004?
Anything Glam Rock, Anything Placebo, Anything RHPS. And a many more.
Placebo, U2, David Bowie, System of a Down.
17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
a) happier or sadder? I guess some parts of my life are better while some are worse.
Better, I think.
b) thinner or fatter? Pretty much no change.

c) richer or poorer? I own more things, but the money's the same since I spend it as soon as I receive it.

18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
Writing.
writing, homework, hang out with my friends, go to the marching band practices
19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
Crying, feeling like shit.
Working, wasting money, lying.
20. How did you spent Christmas?
I stayed home and surfed the net on the 24th. Opened gifts on the 25th in the morning and went to my cousin's place at night to see my mother's family.
Cleaned my room and went to my father's family on the 24th and celebrated the 25th with my mother's family.
22. Did you fall in love?
No.

23. How many one-night stands?

24. What was your favorite TV program?
QaF, Girls in Love, Les Bougons, Daria.

25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
Only People that I didn't know. Perhaps my mom. Michael Malloni is truly shopping for a slap across the face, tough.
Can't think of anyone, really.
26.What was the best book you read?
Too many
same, I guess. But I didn't read as much as I should have.
27. What was your greatest musical discovery?
David Bowie, Placebo, Glam Rock in general, Velvet Underground, Hawksley Workman, Keane, Franz Ferdinand and a lot more that I can't think of.
Bright Eyes, The Beatles ( not a discovery, I just re-learnt to adore them), T-Rex, Simon and Garfunkel.
28. What did you want and get?
Mangas, DVDs, CDs.

29. What did you want and not get?
Self-Esteem, peace of mind.

30. What was your favorite film of this year?
Velvet Goldmine, I know it didn't come out this year, but I watched it this year so yeah. My favorite movie that came out this year was PoA

31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
I can't remember, mustn't have been very important. All I can remember from that day is that it's the day my mom got her car. A car that she bought in order to meet her lover. yay.
We had a party in my basement. It was ok. I was really pissed off at Jessy for leaving at 10 because he wanted to go clubbing with other friends.
32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
My mom not leaving us like she did.
Having more motivation and optimism.
33.What would you describe your personal fashion concept ?
Black?
…Black? I mean it's not that I'm still goth or anything, it's just become a habit to go for the black clothes only. I'm slowly working on that.
34. What kept you sane?
Stacy, Jessy, my Dad, writing, my Mangas and DVDs.
My friends, my cherished belongings.
35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
Brian Molko.

36. What political issue stirred you the most?
The legalization of homosexual marriage in Canada. Gay marriage are now legal in Quebec ^-^*is proud of her province*
F*ck Harper for still putting in question same-sex marriges when the issue has been dealed with already.
37. Who did you miss?
Stacy when she wasn't around, Jessy in the summer, My sister when she was always at Billy's. Billy when my sis and him had a break, My mom when she was in France, J since he was fired, M because he moved, Josée this summer my friends at the marching band since august.

39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned:
Don't take stability for granted, cuz your mom is gonna fall in love with another man and destroy your family and everything family-related that you believed in.
Stop bitching the flood and build a boat.
